Let’s check on some pros and cons of Rottweiler-

PROS

LOW MAINTENANCE

Rottweiler is medium-sized and has short coats, making them low maintenance in terms of grooming. With brushing every few days and an occasional bath, you should not do any extra grooming other than what is required for every dog.

EASY TO TRAIN

Rottweiler is one of the clever canines. They are rated as the ninth most intelligent breed in the world, understanding new commands in fewer than five repetitions and obeying the first command 5% of the time better. Rottweiler is a highly intelligent breed and is generally ready to please and eager to be trained. Teaching them good behavior and socializing them early on will help bring out the best in your puppy.

SELF-ASSURED

Rottweiler has a wait-and-see attitude toward changes in the environment and a self-assured aloof temperament. They are unlikely to form friendships quickly or indiscriminately. That, coupled with their innate desire to protect their home and family, makes socialization and training essential.

CONS

AGGRESSIVE

Rottweiler is not particularly aggressive toward their owners. In fact, they are not a threat to the family, the pets can be extremely protective of their owners. They get aggressive whenever they get a feeling that they need to protect their food, toy, and especially their Alpha. This is a distinct behavior that will require careful training to overcome.

EXCESSIVE EXERCISE

Rottweilers are very active and will need at least two hours of exercise every day. This should include going for interesting walks with extra playtime. Lack of exercise can overweight your dog easily. It is required to provide them with any suitable games or toys to keep them involved all day long or they might feel lonely.

SEPARATION ANXIETY

Despite that tough-looking exterior, Rottweilers are a sensitive breed, due to their intelligence and close attachment to their humans. They can be prone to separation anxiety and need an owner willing to put in the time and care they deserve.

If you are unable to provide all your attention, then the below point might be helpful for you.

REQUIREMENT OF PARTNER

Rottweilers are a working breed. They’ll have similar needs. Having an active companion will be great for your Rottweiler since they’ll be able to keep up with each other. Being able to do same the same activities, and enjoy games, walks, and training exercise means that they’ll also develop a stronger bond.
